How the current InsideWonder website handles browser data.

Updated October 31, 2026

Current website scope

This notice describes the current website. The mobile app is in development and will need its own published privacy information before release. Operator identity, contact details, hosting providers and retention information must be finalized before public launch. This notice does not claim to cover services that have not been released.

Progress stored on your device

The web explorer uses browser local storage to remember discoveries and text-display preferences. Optional adult accounts use Clerk for authentication. InsideWonder stores an account identifier, display name and verified email address on its server. Discovery progress is currently stored on your device and is not synced to your account. Clearing website data can reset local discoveries. Account deletion is available from the account page.

Connections and optional email updates

Delivering a website requires connection information such as network requests and IP addresses. Hosting services may process this information; their identities and retention periods will be documented before launch. If an optional email-updates form is offered, its submitted email address goes to the configured email provider. Use that form only after reviewing the information shown with it. It is intended for adults, including parents and teachers.

Links, read-aloud and contact

External websites have their own privacy practices. Read-aloud uses your browser or device speech service, whose processing depends on the service you use. No advertising or analytics integration is present in the current website source. For privacy questions and requests, contact [email protected].
